Squirty fish, part two

Another day too cold for the sprinkler...although this is where we started out. As soon as we both started turning blue, we turned it off and went back to our old friends the squirty fish!

Getting to the bottom of the matter

Squirty Fish!

Skeeter and his mommy visited for Skeeter Tuesday and we had a lot of fun. He was sick last week with an ear infection, and now that he is on the mend his appetite is finally coming back. Three (Skeeter-size) helpings of buttered pasta, two helpings of cottage cheese, two helpings of grapes and the first three ripe yellow pear tomatoes from the upside down tomato bushes. He picked them himself. He liked that a lot, and I spent the next 10 minutes grabbing all the green tomatoes away from him. Only one casualty, a really promising beefsteak tomato the that was only the color of a lime. To be plucked so young, so sad...

After dinner he really wanted to run in the sprinkler, but it wasn't warm enough for that (the water from the hose is REALLY cold.) So instead I filled a bowl with water and we played with some of the squirty fish left over from his birthday grab bags. We didn't get as wet, but he seamed to enjoy it.
